About Dr. Morrison

Bennett Morrison
Bennett Morrison, MD.

Bennett Morrison started his journey at North Carolina State University in Engineering but switched to Pre-Med after a year and a half and never looked back. After medical school at Wake Forest University and his Internship and Residency at University of Maryland, he came to Olney and joined with Montgomery Internal Medicine Associates (MIMA). 7 years after MIMA merged with Medstar, he was approached by previous MIMA partners Drs. Maltz and Hannon about continuing their practice: an exciting, extraordinary way of delivering medical care. With great consideration and encouragement from family and peers, he left Medstar to continue practicing patient-centered medicine where he is more accessible to patients and can see you more promptly, whether at the office, home, or hospital.

Dr. Morrison is board certified in Internal Medicine and has served the Olney community for over 20 years, bringing a depth of leadership experience to his practice. During his years with Montgomery General Hospital and Medstar, he served as Facility Medical Director, Chairman of the Department of Medicine, and Medical Director of both the Transitional Care Center and the Diabetic Program, in addition to sitting on the hospital’s Board and Medical Executive Committee. His dedication to patient care was recognized when he was named a Washingtonian Best Doctor in 2010. Outside the office, he’s just as at home under the hood of a classic car or lending a hand around the house, and he spent eight years volunteering with the Olney Boys and Girls Club alongside his own children, reflecting the same hands-on, community-minded approach he brings to his patients.
